See Ya Later Jane

I’m sure sometime in the near or distant future I’ll see you again, someday. Will I recognize you, or will you pass by, never taking notice. Surely I couldn’t miss that smile, if you smile, or those blue eyes, sparkling in the sunlight, if you’re not wearing sunglasses, or perhaps the color of your hair, if you haven’t changed it.

You’re such a world traveler, you and all your companions; off to here, off to there. I hear you left for Paris today, or was that Rome. So many places, I can’t keep track.

Me, I’m just a homebody, as always. Everything I know and love is here, except you.

What’s it been now, five years? You’ve never been gone that long before. I was sure you’d be back in three.

That’s about all I have to say for now, and though I know you’ll never see this, I’ll mail it anyway.

To Jane

Somewhere

The World

 Bye,

See ya later Jane.

'See ya Later Jane'
M.E.Lyle,
Experience of life we connect with friends which shared these times. Togetherness is so lovely and missed 'after awhile'. Your story is really great. I know that is is understandable. I have known people too which were so special. It would be neat to meet now at a different season-stage of life. We would talk and get re-aquainted. A person cant help but hope for a perfect meeting.
Will the freind be what we remember:
"or those blue eyes sparkling in the sunlight"
Cute part too::
"if your not wearing sunglasses"
fun and understandable in deep place of heart.
Blessings,
Kathy

Sweet but sad. Somewhere out there, do you think there might be an undelivered letter from her with your name on it?

A retrospective mood? Or merely a pensive one?
