Singularity

Singularity

A Poem by Michael of Gilead
"

sometimes all you need is a moment

"

Scattered shafts of light breaking through the morning grey

Cooling breeze finds me pleased

Wisps of steam from my coffee drift

Cicadas welcoming the day

Quiet of the morn broken only by songbirds

The smell of breakfast wafting from the window

The day soon to start, with its distractions and chores

But for this moment, this one singularity

Blissful, contented peace

Sounds like a slice of heaven to me! I love the smells, the sounds, the tastes and textures of this poem. Pure bliss to me! Now I'm hungry and ready for a hot cup of coffee.
