Awaken Still Doll

Awaken Still Doll

A Poem by Regan Meade

Blank eyes stare out to the world
So cold and so haunting.
They follow you everywhere but,
They do not move.

Blood slides from the eyes.
It stains the porcelain skin
Damning her to live again.
She is still.

"Awaken my little doll."
But she does not move.
The chains of humanity
Bound them between worlds.

Awaken still doll.
Let the blood take over
Let the darkness consume the light
And live.

Live still doll with a new life
A cursed life,
Live among the cursed, the damned,
For the life you had... hasn't changed.

Still bound between the blood flows
Eyes change to the color of wine.
Nothing has changed and
The still doll will never awaken.
