Teasing wonder

Teasing wonder

A Poem by Shaun Rudie

Fire carries her
to me,
urges me forward,
dream-close
I fold around her
and am enfolded, my
face awash in her scent,
I close my eyes
as she kisses me
Fingers trace our
edges, lift our shirts
I pull the small of her back,
our stomachs bare, press
against each other
We inhale, hold our breath
Time stops
Pulled from the world by
this simple connection,
our bodies seek
teasing wonder
