Sometimes, I Just Want

Sometimes, I Just Want

A Poem by Miranda Aguinaga

want to put my hood on,

and hide beneathe it's shadow.

my hood will cast it's length over my face,

so that you cannot see my eyes.

most days I like to wear my hair down,

letting my long curls spill out around my neck.

when the wind blows, and the breeze touches my cheek,

my hair plays games in the air.

there are moments to open your eyes;

those are the greatest.

embrace all you see.

the beautiful hands of your first love

the old age of a wisened tree

but then, there are moments when your eyes closed

is what's really amazing.

when I close my eyes, I can see everything.

I am limitless.

when I open my eyes, I cannot see everything.

I am controlled, I have limits.

you see?

This is gorgeous! I love it. My favorite part is the end, it just flowed so nicely. Really, really good.
