I Miss You (But Not Nearly As Much As You'll Miss Me)

I Miss You (But Not Nearly As Much As You'll Miss Me)

A Poem by Kelley T
"

Uncertainty and longing in iambic pentameter — stuff that would've made Billy Shakespeare proud!

"
Promised myself that I would not dare miss
your shadowed figured in my bed at dawn,
hands upon my waist, or spice of your kiss.
This oath, I've broken, while you have been gone.

I want and miss you, yes, I do " truly!
Though, I doubt, "is this reciprocated?"
Affection bestowed, perhaps unduly.
Uncertainty, a feeling much hated.

Hold me tightly, coo sweetly in my ear;
make my heart flutter and my head tingle.
"Though, do you just say what I wish to hear?"
If this is the case, let me stay single.

Banished is the thought of you from my mind;
better alone than with someone unkind.
