Rosebud

Rosebud

A Poem by Krista Everson

There she stands, solitary and content
Enjoying the iridescent light
Gleaming from the sky.
Rosebud, she refers by name.
She's not quite yet a flower;
Yet, not simply a bud.
She's immersed in nature;
The wind, the sun, the moonlight...
The passage of time guide her to grow...
To learn and embrace
The ever-changing beauty called life.
