S**t

S**t

A Poem by Liz
"

A conversation (kind of) I had today.

"
My fingers
Drum
Drum
Drum against my leg.

I gnaw on my lip,
Lick off the blood,
Rinse,
Lather,
Repeat.

My leg shakes,
My whole body shakes.

My eyes droop downwards,
Like drops of water.
My tangled hair swishes as I
Shake away the fatigue.
"You look like s**t."

I stare over at the boy.
Giggle, shrug.

"S**t suits me, I think."

Really good job. Honest with a little black humor. This really happened to you? Funny, it sounds like you took an excerpt from my life. I also think the shortness of the story helped drive home the message... not explaining the situation means that readers can relate to what's happening, which makes it better. Good work.

seems to be something that you took time to write it out but it flowed out of your head very easily. Great job.

We should love what we do, and you do this nicely. Blatantly honest is refreshing. well done.
