Lost Pearl

Lost Pearl

A Poem by Missing Entity

These petals once gleamed
Of a life set in pearl
A portrait of splendor
Untainted, unfurled
The beauty of reflection
Now lost in its dream
As darkness encases
This flower's last beam
Broken, in tatters
A wavering stalk
Has wandered too far
Now lost on a rock
Shivering with cold
No longer in reach
Of her dear sun's warmth
Which nothing could breach
These petals once gleamed
Of a life set in pearl
Now fallen to the ground
Forsaken and curled
