Groundhog's Day

Groundhog's Day

A Poem by Mistaken
"

This is from the movie. We had a class assignment to write about it. I hope you like :)

"

The clock moves endlessly

Dread fills my body

It is going to happen again

No matter what I do

As soon as my eyelids slide shut

That same nerve-grating song plays bringing helplessness inside my heart

I’ve relived the same day 38 times now

And it’s not getting any easier

I can’t live in the present or dream of the future

‘Fore I know what’s going to happen.

Why do I try and change the days outcome

When it won’t matter all the same?

Why give myself up to that pain?

The feelings begin to overcome me yet again

Nothing will stop this eternal reoccurrence…

Interesting. I probably would appreciate it more if I actually watched that movie. It seems like the connection between them is so relevant, it's a bit difficult to point out where you're coming from. Even so, it still has a nice and simple flow.

Keep Writing. ^___^

Very good!
I love this movie.

Dear poet, you are anything but mistaken.
Sometimes life seems like a dream
thats playing on an old record, that keeps skipping...

Great job!
