Words are no bricks...

Words are no bricks...

A Poem by Ana B.

I’m in the Garden

Watching the tree…

You’re not forgotten.

Some things are not meant to be

                                                        Love, hold on to me.

                                                        Home, don’t close the door.

Youth, don’t wait for this plea.

Sun, please shine on as before.

Come on, heart, sing loud

Or cry, whatever suits you…

My mind must be proud

That you couldn’t go through…

                                                          Couldn’t build a castle…

                                                          Not from the ruins.

                                                         So  tired of this hustle…

                                                        And these senseless  doings.

What a lovely heartfelt poem. Oh, I enjoyed it very much. You are a creative and very clever writer. Beautiful. Your pleas are delightful, the metaphors devine. Love hold onto me, Home don't close the door, Youth don't wait for me, Sun shine on as before....the pitfalls of love...And these senseless doings. Great ending. You really are so very talented. Thank you

thank you very much Richard :)
almost feels like the speaker has not been so tainted by life that she has built walls around her...she still wants to hear the singing, be part of it...keep hold of the love in her heart.

You are most welcome dear.
A lot of thoughts and reflection in the poem. Life teaches us to understand. Life can be sweet and hard sometimes. I like the honesty and the tone in the statements. Thank you my friend for sharing the excellent poetry.
