A Poem by Ana B.

The skin of the night…dark shades it has

A short remedy for my social allergy;

A moon shaped dream that smells of jazz

While thoughts perform the dance of anarchy.

And there is war around every corner

Between egos and vanities…

Sincerity could be the armor

Yet I still hide in my castle of fantasies…

I gaze into your silent amber and I know

Your time is not the same as mine.

Yet how stunning those ghostly seconds aglow

While hearts play their pantomime

Yet still,

Gifting resplendent paintings

To this watercolor universe

Very pleasant to read, a fine arrangement.

Someone once said to me "ego is not your amigo", called it the start of all wars, literally and figuratively.

I like how you ended it, speaking of amber and time. All of this electronic s**t we post and leave behind is like a modern version of a mosquito fossilized in amber. Probably not as timeless though... The Cheavuax cave paintings are only 30ish thousand years old. Fossilized amber is millions of years old. I'm not certain our collective hard drives will last that long.

(I enjoyed the music as well)

These lines just pulled me in. You have some really epic lines here '... still hide in my castle of fantasies..." This one is just awesome and relatable too.

You are welcome dear Ana.
This is....delicious, it's the only word I can think of that comes close to describing the pairs of lines (jus how I read it), as the perfect ingredients that come together perfectly to make the finished product, complete and resplendent. Some of these lines, if not all of them, could be a complete poem in themselves, yet your last lines bring them all together to finish on a high note. Superb.
