Just For Fun
A Poem by Molly
This was a little ditty I wrote while studying Beowulf. I was having fun with alliteration....this poem really reveals how big a nerd I am.
As
Grendel grumbles in his grotto,
And his mum morosely mutters,
Brave young Beowulf boldly battles,
While Hrothgar hides behind his shutters.
Heed the heroes, mind the monsters,
Blindly bellows the old Bard.
We must make merry in the meadhall,
Drink up dear Danes, for life is hard.

I can't help but grin as I read this one. I wonder why it is that alliteration is so satisfying?
As it was fun for you to write, it was fun for me to read! =D
