Bite

Bite

A Poem by the penumbra
"

Life of a Vampire

"
Ice cold skin
Crimson eyes
Both are sins
Damned to below
But those are just lies
Truly the first one wasn't evil
Only the thirst was.

Crawling in the night
Hunting his prey
Only blood will suffice.

A cold-blooded ring master
Playing his puppets
Pretty to look at
But easily manipulated
Just by pulling on a
Single string.

Two hollow holes
That peer inside
All your secrets
And thoughts pouring out

A vampires mark strikes true
But
The thirst will always control
Because only blood will
Suffice...

I know this is all about vampires and all, but your sentence: "The thirst will always control/Because only blood will/Suffice..." sounds a LOT like revenge. I'm unsure if that was your intention, but those were the kind of images that kept popping up for me. Neat poem, keep it up.

Delicious read. ^^* I enjoy these writes of yours very much. They hold a certain flavor of darkness that I can relate to in many ways.
