Pink dog

Pink dog

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

Old yeller has nothing

On my dog pink

The wag of her tail

Can make my pain shrink

I think I’ll erect a statue

Just in her name

The perfect friend

Is her claim to fame

She runs like the wind

And climbs like a gecko

she's shepard ,chow and pittbull

but looks like a dingo

there are so many legends about her

that many people know

The things we have been through

The joy and the sorrow

She waits and she waits

For me to come home

To make sure I know

That I’m not alone

She barks when she’s happy

Licks to show love

She’s truly a blessing

That came from above

We still have some trips

Left in us yet

She’s the bestist of friends

And not just a pet

Aww... this is great ML! :)

A man's best friend indeed... surely, we can all learn
a lesson or two from the loyalty and unconditional love
of a dog. Seriously..

The poem itself was again, in great form
and flowed perfectly!

And the name ... "Pink"... adorable! lol

I enjoyed this, my friend!
It definitely put a smile on my face... :-D

Man's best friend! I have...well had...5 dogs, currently am blessed with two. This poem exemplifies the phrase we use in our house "Cold noses warms hearts". They love unconditionally. You captured that in this poem. You are truely blessed my friend with your faithful companion. Thank you for sharing this and my furry babies thank you for reminding me!

Oh what a sweet poem. They say dogs are man's best friend (womens too), "The perfect friend is her claim to fame" ..."she's the bestest of friends and not just a pet" what a wonderful tribute to your best friend and pet. I know just what you mean, they are there when no one else is, they are always happy to see you and are so very loyal, they will protect you and love you (sometimes to death with those licks) :) This is a very sweet, loving poem with good flow and the imagery is wonderful. another great write my friend. ;)

It put on a slight smile
But it still makes me sad.
You can tell in the lines that you miss her.
It's like a remembrance type situation.
Though at the same time you know that there is hope that you will be
with her again some day.
What an amazing dog.
Quite a reputation apparently.
