Awake now

Awake now

A Poem by Mr. Lopez

There is no amount of poison
That can fill your emptiness inside
And never will you find a thing
In between the drinks
Or Just before
Just another hit
Worth living for
worth loving for
worth dying for
Yet what i see in you
In this mirrored morbid reflection
Of romanced addiction gone mad
Is what i never saw in me...
Until today

wow... really great piece! the end is warping. I see this two ways: This is what an addict sees when they start to come out of that addiction... seeing the reflection of you in the face of another.... Or, you are speaking of literally looking in the mirror and seeing yourself as you really are. Either way it's fantastic. Well put together.

As usual your this is awesome, and so very beautifully expressed. I immediately felt you were writing about someone with Borderline Personality!! I also liked Spoken's review. At any rate your writing never disappoints!!!

Yeah, you said the title so true, and I love your style of writing, I've got to read more. Love it! KS

This makes me remember how much better it is whilst we don't the disorders, prejudices and conflicts (as well as frustrations) in ourselves. Once we find our flaws and start dealing with our deepest yearns and regrets, life becomes so heavy and hard to manage. This poem reveals the truth in us.

Mmmm...very powerful hun and alot of reflection in so few words. It is so much easier to see the wars raging in others, but we are the ast to see them in ourselves. Hang on hun, you know it gets better! Thanks for the request.
