Elizabeth {She Broke My Heart}

Elizabeth {She Broke My Heart}

A Poem by Andrew M Parker

My heart flutters like a crippled butterfly though only for a moment.

My mind fills with disbelief, shoving my heart down into my stomach, to have the acid destroy this memory.

Later my entire body rages with anger because of this act that I’m not entirely sure was true, but deceitful and evil.

Very relatable (many years ago)
It's almost as if you can feel the rage, anger and disappointment coming of from the page. I fee this was written from the heat. and I hear every word of it.

Mark.

Ouch; dark poetry. Stunted and curt, much like the feeling one gets when reality disappoints.

I guess so ..
Your hurt and outrage powerfully conveyed.
Vivid imagery propels this visceral write.
Hard-hitting stuff, Andrew!
