My Spiritual War With The Fallen

My Spiritual War With The Fallen

A Poem by The Elusive Mr Dunne

My Spiritual War With The Fallen

"My Spiritual War With The Fallen"

I threaten their reality, and that scares their fascade/
So they lie and they slander, with any given chance
This society has conditioned, these people to be fake/
So they hate on my existance, and all which I create
A mix of fear and admiration, in the most cowardice ways/
Unenlightened, they're frightened, yet choose to act brave
They've been kept in an illusion, as they're evil on purpose/
So they suffer confusion, and then get bit by the Serpent
They've perfected a personality, of which they are not/
Shining my light in their dark place, they want me to stop
They're so used to gossiping, like some lost little girls/
That all they can offer in this world, is their lost little selves
My inner self embodies truth, I cannot be bodied by a lie/
They want me depressed in the head, til I'm dead like inside
Believing there is no consequence, for the sins which they bathe/
Is why they falsely accuse others, of their own sadistic traits.

Sounds pretty angry to me.. with no resolve.
Feels like this could be a great poem with a bit of help.
At this point although I did read it I found it difficult.
I read your about me..Very sad but interesting..
might be a very good short story??

You know I like your writing style, and you have obvious talent, but being a half glass full girl, I find your words are quite punching, but not in a good way. One line states ... my inner self embodies truth ... and yet I feel so much anger.

You have a gift you could certainly share with younger generations, your words could matter, that is, if they were directed in the right way. You could be the inspiration some spend their lives looking for.

Apologies, my directness is both a quality and a falling point.

I find it very hard to write negative poems - for some reason my mind always shifts back to the GOODNESS that CAN BE, if we only let ourselves allow it.

Take care.
