Late Night in a Bar

Late Night in a Bar

A Poem by MrKnowAll

I will never forget that day,
in which he made that toast , that said:
No one is equal to us.

He made it with a sprinkling taste of wine,
that blurred all the wrong in that line,
and made everyone incline.

He took our weapons, our hearts, our souls,
and left us speechless to the toast,
bare naked to roast.

I wish I could go back in time,
destroy every line,
to which everyone inclined...

Great way of showing the ill fortune of the toast. I especially enjoyed the imagery in the second and third stanzas.

seems the toast was destined to misfortune...and the way this unraveled to the end...and the last stanza:

I wish I could go back in time,
destroy every line,
to which everyone inclined...
