A Mother's Love

A Mother's Love

A Poem by Mrs MelRose
"

A mother never stops loving her daughter.

"
This little heart
And little hand
A little laugh
A teeny smile
You can't help but love her
With her little brown eyes
And her voice
That mimics yours
Further in the future
With wobbly legs
Mobile, coming towards you
Curiously smiling
Not really a baby
But not yet a little girl
All loving, all sweet
And all your little one
Talking, talking, talking
To figure out the world
Seemingly endless energy
And making her own group of girls
The beginnings of an attitude
The start of 'not understanding'
Getting too big for my hand
But never too big for my heart
Makeup, driving, boys
All of her conversations now
Seeing less and less of her
But reaching out to hold on
Don't grow up too fast
Mummy's still right here
When he breaks your heart
To comfort you in your tears
Then he doesn't break your heart
He takes care of you
And with love in my heart and tears in my eyes
I give you to him to stick to forever
The pictures I love to get
As you travel the world with the love of your life
But no matter how far you go
I'm always Mommy
Maybe one day you will understand
Maybe you will have little brown eyes
Looking at you
And you'll be a Mother too
But from then till now
You always have my heart
From my precious little girl to my strong young women
A Mothers love never fades
