Superman

Superman

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers
"

"...the yin to my yang you are"

"

Superman

The father of my child

you are,

the hand to the small

of my back

the smile

that makes me feel

seventeen again,

whenever the merlot

goes to my head

The yin to my yang

you are,

taking me to

exhilarating highs…

making me feel

seventeen again.

Yes indeed, as social beings us humans do draw great solace from our soulmates and likewise, it's a symbiotic relationship!

A vibrantly penned, passionate poem !

Always a pleasure Kelly 😎
such a smooth romantic poem Kelly, I especially loved that line: "the hand to the small of my back"... I guess because I have always thought it was the small things, a touch, a special look or smile, the sparkle in the eyes, listening to the words she/he say, that shows how much you love someone... and never letting them hit the ground when they fall... and as you also say, making them feel young, alive.. for you a Superman, for me a Wonder Woman... nicely expressed Kelly..

You are welcome dear Kelly.
There is such an ease to the flow of your words, beautiful Kelly, true love only sees the youth in their other's eyes, sigh...gorgeously done :)

You are always a welcomed sight, Poppy...thank you for the warmth of your words!
True love smiles through a touch on the back. It goes both ways. The feel of the back beneath a palm can elicit those same feelings. Good write, Kelly. Simple but true.

Ah, the man who can be all that is the one that deserves a life with you! To see yourself through another's eyes and to know he sees only youth and beauty....that is real love! So sweet a love poem, Kelly. Lydi**

Your words float off the page and create such an affectionate, loving mood. Seems to me you have met your soulmate here and what a beautiful thing it is.
