A Birthday Tribute to Keats

Oft times

I am forever bruised

I bleed muted words.

They leap in bounds

within my throat

spilling from eyes

that well with tears,

seas of salted bitterness

in vast moonlight.

Such a magic to take nine lines and make a whole world with them. There is the wonder of rising words, sorrows as vast as the seas, and the whole a tribute to the magnificence of Keats.
