We meet- We break

We meet- We break

A Poem by Aimee Mahathy
"

just a tugging

"
I feel with a criminal's heart
To keep so silent
These emotions that are gnawing at the
Chains of my soul
Screaming-
Screaming
With their gas-masks strapped.

Trapped.
Exposed.

I want to live!
Unbind me so that
I can.

I speak
In honesty
And he lives
With the plastic covered
Ambitionists.

I'm pretty drunk right now. I'll probably read this tomorrow and think "What the hell?" But at the moment, I know what I'm talking about.

I think I can understand the state of mind at least. I felt like this last night after I went out with a few friends of mine. I love the line "I felt with a criminals heart." I think that it is really brilliant. I think the shorter lines add power to the message of the piece.

About
I'm 33 now, much more settled into myself, and getting back to it again. The previous about me is gonna stay for now, since it's still somewhat accurate and I need some time to figure out what to say .. more..
