Heart in my Pocket

Heart in my Pocket

A Poem by Princess Belle

I'm afraid of losing you
My dearest heart
So I'm putting you away,
Locking you in the dark.
It's time to be taken
Away from my sleeve
You've been there for too long
You're starting to get dirty
And it's building up in the cracks
Where the glue used to be
But It's all worn away now
You're becoming old
And almost useless somehow
A dirty crimson red shell
Is all I have left
But I don't want you to go away
I want you to be kept
So I'm putting you in my pocket
Away from the world
Away from the evil
That surrounds this girl
Dear little heart shell,
you're special to me
So stay safe inside my pocket
Where you won't be seen.
