Eyes So Blue

Eyes So Blue

A Poem by NJ Schneider
"

Mmm it's good to be on the computer again.

"

Hello my little one,

With your eyes so blue,

Ever let your voice,

Ring so true.

Hello my dear one,

Squishing the sand between your toes,

Smiling blissfully at the water,

Forgetting your woes.

Hello my sweet one,

With your tiny soul so free,

I will always be with you,

And you with me.

Hello my precious one,

You watch me with unseeing eyes,

I am here to protect you,

From the world's many lies.

Hello my sacred one,

Never will you know fear,

Always be brave,

Because I am near.

I like this one...I actually have a (possibly bad) habit of only reviewing poetry I like....

Simple, vague and easy to follow...like, in my opinion, all good poems are.

"Hello my dear one,

Squishing the sand between your toes,

Smiling blissfully at the water,

Forgetting your woes."

That's the line that took me for ransom. Allusions to peaceful scenes, especially natural(beaches, especially) and forgetting your woes always help calm the nerves...

Anyway, liked it...hope you don't kill yourself because I'd like to read more of your work.

I am with Legion - I got a parent speaking to their child. Glad you made it back to cyberworld. Great job. Very heartfelt and endearing.

Alright I like the author's note a lot, because I thought WHAT? What in the world is this about. Now I can relax and just enjoy the fact that it can mean many things to different people. Rather clever the way you made it multi purpose. Thanks for sharing your work. Enjoyable read.

I kinda got a mother child feel from this, and I really like it. The protection is written into the poem. You did a great job! I love it. Especially your imagery. You know I really the way you explain things lol.
