Deceitful Skies

Deceitful Skies

A Poem by NJ Schneider
"

Eric and I are back together. Third times the c*harm* right?

"

Three's the magic number

at least

That's what I heard

 Butterfly wings

flying with

Your pretty word

Fluttering around

 my head

Ever so gently

Taking me higher

in the clouds

So it feels lovely

But your touch

doesn't

Seem to linger

Pretty words make me

feel so

Much stronger

Butterflies soaring into

dangerous

Deceitful pretty skies

Well, there's obviously a message within it, many in fact. Tell me what you think. It was a bit harder to do this one because of the wording and how I wanted it laid out.

The number 3 is my favorite number, because, as you sort of stated, it's basically supposed to be the "lucky" number. Well, besides the number 7.

A second chance, or in this case a third chance, it's somewhat bittersweet, because you think, "oh not again", and then at the same time you're ecstatic, but you've still got that lingering doubt in your mind.
"Butterflies soaring into
Deceitful pretty skies"
Those lines seem to show that although something may be beautiful, not all is really as it seems, hm?

I like how you used two different colors to show the transition between thoughts, like negative and positive, dark and light, gloomy and airy, etc.

I'm sorry...I tend to ramble.

But anyway, I find it a bit odd that you haven't received more reviews, because your writing is pretty damned good. Lazy people these days, I suppose. Well send me read requests, I'll read and review anything you send my way.

Good day.

I liked the feel and flow of this one.. facinating word play, I enjoyed the mood and quite like how you structured the lines.

Cool, I like this one. Changing between the two font colors to link the seperate messages is a great idea, is it yours?
