Acquainting the alpha

Acquainting the alpha

A Poem by Moonie
"

~it's a poem about the same character who inspired "alpha" but this one is written with a different tone~

"
She barely reaches my breast
yet poses as if she's conquered the Everest,
spent time in the Amazon,
eaten at a bistro,
sung with the nymphs,
balanced encyclopedias in one hand,
ridden horses,
chopped wood,
stayed out till after the curfew,
she pretends to be wittier than
Oscar Wilde.
She knows a hundred music notes,
she says.
She claims to have traveled to the moon,
and etched her name there.

On mid summer nights,
I often
pull off my duvet,
descend to the ground,
peek out
at the moon.

Just in case....

Okay, this gave me a laugh, I've known many people like this, and not just women . . . I'm not really sure how to review this, because it quite straight forward, though comical, at least I hope that was the intention. I'm afraid I don't know the character 'Alpha' so perhaps the underlining meaning is lost on my, but i found it enjoyable.

I have met women like this.. while this is a playful take on it and you make it seem in a positive tone, the ones I have met aren't that positive at all. they think they know it all.. they have done it all.. they can do anything.. they have no faults.. they think they are better than everyone... this makes me curious to read the piece that they inspired.. it is well written and like I said, makes the character likeable...
