I've Come to Beg Once Again

I've Come to Beg Once Again

A Poem by Lucas Core

Swings of time strike against your window pane, three strikes you're out
I've come knocking, open thy putrid door, I know you're in there
Swings of time strike against your window pane, two strikes you're out
Nothing is everlasting, the law in which all must abide by, you too cannot escape
Swings of time strike against your window pane, one strike you're out
Physicals are the remnants of the full, I seek not the shell but the thing within, one you should graciously give
Swings of time strike against your window pane, as is the law nothing is to last in immortality
Begging, begging, I've come to beg, beg of not the tangible, but of the intangible
The mountains have parted and the gate has opened, filthy peasant
Once you have certified a deal with I, you cannot ask to escape
I give you the tangible, you give me the intangible, is it hard not to abide?
I've come to beg once again...
