You Wrote Her a Poem.

You Wrote Her a Poem.

A Poem by Vanessa Oviedo
"

This was a response to a poem that a person whom I loved dearly wrote for another.

"

You wrote her a poem.
A poem I was not supposed to see,
A poem expressing your feelings,
A poem not meant for me.

You wrote her a poem.
Filled with threats and revenge,
Filled with love and hate,
Filled with a friendship pledge.

You wrote her a poem.
You wanted her, didn't you?
You needed her, didn't you?
Both trapped and feeling blue.

You wrote her a poem.
Before her suicide attempt,
Before you were out and she remained.
Was that the reason I was kept?

You wrote her a poem.
Do you really want me?
I know you want her,
It's kind of obvious to see.

You wrote her a poem
I wasn't supposed to see.
I don't mean anything to you,
But you mean everything to me.
