Too often in this world, children suffer for their parent's inadequacies. A young mother or father, frustrated over bills, divorce, or a thousand other things can lose it when baby cries or is too fussy. Most of them don't mean to hurt the child, I believe, but they sometimes do. Other times, it may be a result of drug/alcohol abuse. Not everyone is capable of being a parent. Some should never have children at all. Period. How inadequate it is that the most important job in the world, (parenting) requires no qualifications, whatsoever. Your poem's message is hard-hitting and very important.

WOW! Someone put some bitter bullace in your water I’m afraid! This looks simple, but it’s so powerful. We rarely see a poem written in such a direct way. I actually felt quite shocked when I read this short poem Neville. Kept reading it over and over, because one of the lines I don't understand. "Bulace are blue", not sure what that means, but the rest of it came through really strongly. Who has been hurting babies? Response please dear Neville, and good afternoon. You certainly grabbed the headlines with this little number.

Bullace are small blue fruit, similar to a damson but more bitter... thank you for considering these words of mine Chris........ N

Yes, damsons I know, we used to have a tree in our garden for years (sadly no longer). Bullace are bitter. It leaves a bitter taste in the mouth if babies are being hurt.
