when I first
caught your scent
in a shell ..
For one stupid
moment,
I thought I could
hear, feel
and taste you as well ..

Well shells are magical and I for sure have certainly heard the sea in the conch shell my Nan gave me. So with a wish and a little imagination, scent, feel and taste are all possibilities. Lovely piece of brevity Neville which plays on several emotions. Nothing stupid here. Scent by the way is so very evocative of people, places and time.
