The Floating World

The Floating World

A Poem by Neverwhere
"

What we want and what we can have, the life of a person is not always their own.

"

from beneath shading willows

geisha sits unattainable and yet so so close

the cost to love so high - sake in my cup poured

Author's Note

Neverwhere
I was thinking about the one ultimate images of love love that is sitting before someone and yet is considered generally unattainable, the Geisha and the quiet seemingly serene world she floats in known as The Floating World although the has usually referred to courtesans.
