Making His Way Home

Making His Way Home

A Poem by Neville
"

... ...... written in my head for my mandolin ...

"

Making His Way Home

It seems such an age

Since he started this love song

 ...

Somehow he forgot

who it was meant to be for

 ...

It seems he got lost

and delayed by the roadside

 ...

But now he’s making

his way to your door ..

 ...

On the way for some reason

He found himself thinking

 ...

He was as old as his tongue

and a little older than his teeth

 ...

He had

always tried to tell the truth

 ...

And he had never been a thief

so why has time forsaken him

 ...

And challenged his beliefs

will there ever be an answer ….

Of course there's an answer, it's written in the stars or on the beach, depends on when you want to see it, Neville! There's a pot of gold in this read, part smile, part whimsy, part sad-happy and more. You have a way with words - and a pot of choices.

There is a wisdom speaking. Pure humanity and growth. Hurt brought us to this point. A most enjoyable read. So much to explore.

thank you most kindly & I do appreciate your visit
Whimsical, regretful with a touch of sadness in these lyrics. In the quietest moments when the chips are down and there is time to reflect, perhaps we turn full circle. Home is where we are grounded, the stars are for dreamers.

i feel that the older we get the less we know, and maybe there are many answers we deem
better to be ignorant of...
the tongue and the teeth abide...truth never ages.
