No More Blues for These Tired Eyes

Dear Sir,

I write with regret

to inform you ..

There is a tendency

these days

for my eyes to play

more tricks

on me than usual ..

Regardless

of the time of day

or indeed,

the circumstances ..

It seems

there is a failing light

and I have lost my way ..

Indeed blue,

is well out of reach

and now

denied me altogether ..
