Radience

Radience

A Poem by Neytri

When I find myself engulfed in despondency
I seek silence to hear you
Your words of enlightenment
Which challenges the entrenched
Not just because its powerful
But because it holds truth

For you I could turn into a mockingbird
Oh! But that's not what you told me
You taught me to be myself
And fearlessly take pride in being ME

You didn't show me the light when it was dark
But instead you stood by me when I stumbled
You grasped my hand and helped me up
But never walked a single step with me...
That's because you bestowed upon me the strength
To insanely search for that light
And also the strength that made me realize
The light actually resides within me.

For you I could turn into a mockingbird

Oh how I loved this part, I get this way off and on,
this is really good. you express yourself well

This is very well written. Searching for the truth in moments of despondency, may everyone find the light!

Sensational use of wording here Neytri...the light must be found by the self...it is a hope of many that someone will pick us up when we fall so we may find that light eventually, just beautiful! :)

Beautifully written! It has a great message... that nobody can walk the earth for you, but they can guide you in the right direction. Very nice poem! : )

Thank you so much. And yes, that's exactly what by this poem I wanted to convey. :)
Friends come and go then there's that one special friend that just seems to have that something extra. When you find them or they find you hang on to them.

Very nicely written

This is really beautiful! Everyone has that one friend/companion who is always with you through thick and thin. Who adores you for just the way you are. A magnificent tribute to that being. :)

Everyone goes through periods of being despondent and run down. Their mind races through many possible scenarios to explore, many things and people on whom to heap blame for it, questions inside of questions. The fortunate ones eventually come to the realization that all answers lie within themselves if we just know which questions to ask. We were placed in the world with the knowledge and resiliency to figure problems out. Most of it arrives as one gets older and more experienced. It's never easy, though; not supposed to be. take care...dan
