Mercurial

Mercurial

A Poem by Nicole Laszlo

How fleeting-- This lively night How tired-- Comes morning light Prodigal- Enter the sun! Modest- Exit the mercurial moon The sky sings It's voice brilliant and blue The stars sing too- Sing themselves to sleep And as the world rests Soaked in heat I wait for the return Of fleeting, lively night

I prefer non-rhyming poetry but this is quite good.

"Prodigal-
Enter the sun!" Good line, I actually laughed at that one. The Prodigal Son...

Overall, a bit short but quite good. The first three stanza's are really good and well-written.

Good job, Nicole! :D
