Flight of Fancy… (two small poems)

Two poems written for our writing groups monthly challenge. The challenge was to write something inspired by "Flight of Fancy" suggested by my friend.

Fancy a flight, flight of fancy?

Wings stretched wide.

Reaching as far as they can.

Longing to fly, looking to reach the promise land.

Longing to find what you fancy.

Looking for a flight that will last a life time.

My flight of fancy shall last forever.

 

I know a fancy flight when I see one!

I doubt you could find any fancier flight than the great Concorde.

Maybe I am just bias, but I think it must have been true.

They always say you get what you pay for, and I believe this to be true.

As a Liberal I should not admit, that I do agree.

There is something about the finer things in life.

Something about the fancy flight.

Who doesn’t want a flight of fancy?

I think the first poem to me depicts exactly what i'd imagine for a Flight of Fancy. for the second i liked how you changed the context and commented on the world today. at least, that's what i read in to it.
