God Almighty!

Part of next months writing challenge.... Okay, so I "thought" it was "Yesterday I Killed Man..." (turns out it has an A in there somewhere!) and this is what I went with for that...

Yesterday I killed man...

God sitting in his ivory palace, St. Peter guarding the pearly gates.

I sent my only son to lead you, help you find your way.

Man ignored him, allowed the mass mob to rule.

I sent my majestic son to his death for you.

Now he is lost forever, his potential gone for good.

Man shall learn, the world will suffer.

For all of his arrogance and ignorance, I shall teach you compassion and understanding.

Yesterday I killed man, and finally sealed his fate.

This is a change to the true tale but an interesting write and yet more very readable free verse.
