When Everything Turns To Dust

When Everything Turns To Dust

A Poem by Aurora .I.
"

Meh.

"
Deluded poison
Slowly sinking in
Our homes
Our lives
We're surrounded by tiny concealed knives
They pick and pick
Harmlessly it seems
Until your blood pours out like a stream
'Cause the economy is bad
Not a jumping little lad
Markets down the train
People in so much pain
But the rich are richer
The poor are sinking lower
And the middle class?
Well they just keep treading dangerous waters
The lines for the shelters get bigger and bigger
Yet the budgets to support them get smaller and smaller
Where are the people with power?
Our patience is sinking by the hour
Anger building up like a tower
That will soon crumble into dust
Fight? We must!
But the actions we take
Aren't looked on that great
Because of what you make of us
Of our cause
Thrown in jail?!
We're only fighting back what is morally wrong!
But nobody's listening
They ignore what we say
Guess it doesn't matter much either way
It doesn't matter...We give up
I hope you enjoy when everything turns to dust

Author's Note

Aurora .I.
I wrote this shortly after 'Through The Mist They Go Missing' but I haven't found the time to put it up. I don't know lately I've just been really stuck on injustices. I personally think this one is kinda...I don't know. I don't like it as much. But if you guys like it feel free to comment or if you feel I could change something tell me. Thanks.
