Dearest

Dearest

A Poem by Nimfle

You think you know it all,
My dearest.
How I wish-
I could enlighten you!

Unburden myself
from the sufferings;
Stave off the eternal sorrows it brings.

For, the ailments
familial isolation breeds;

Echoes harrowing pain
That reverberates

[ Like the cries of the white lady
Echoing through an empty night]

Breathes icy chill
Into the very depth
You call your own.
