![]() StarsA Poem by Rosette Jewel![]() I think it's somewhat obvious.![]() These windows do not leak as they used to, But the breeze is still cold, These clouds hide the moon well, But all I see are stars. Remembering the day, Onyx skies stared into my soul, They hid the world well, And all I saw were stars. Evenings, I escape the past, With sandy grains, rubble, Of distractions, relaxing, And a little bit of trouble, Contractions, reactions, Avoided with avoidance, Fill the void, the landfill, With my own bones, my vacancy. Vacant rooms, I stay exposed, Wearing nothing but my ache, you see. And you don’t see, I wish the stars were there in me. © 2010 Rosette Jewel |
