Arachnid on a wire

Arachnid on a wire

A Poem by ZeeDeeVille

The black writhing much of fear

Eliminates the weaving spider of hope

Working endlessly to spin the web

To spare head from heart

From soul.

The spider on my ribcage left

Pushes hammock to my right

To keep the grueling muck of memory

From pushing heart to languid

Putrid soul.

The arachnids body, tense with strain

The mind the culprit

Obtaining my remaining fears od a time loss

Burdened then with my time now

Dripping fear into my heart like melting Ice

Heavy heart sinks deep from the liquid

Down into the ravished tired soul

Knit together by hopes and promises new

Frayed by old loves lost interest

This eight legged creature

Too timid to admie his venomous fangs

Throws anemic web across bony ribcage

Never once submerging the body to relenquish

The lower levels, of the aching heart.

I'll move my own lungs inward, to press this beast out.
