A Poem by d.o.t
"

description of my experience with sleep paralysis. also my second try at a non-rhyming poem. and my latest work

"

Last night I fought for my life

There she was

Above me, holding me

Like she used to…

Last night I fought for my life

She just stared

 Her eyes piercing

Her face was never there

Last night I fought for my life

My heart pounding

My breath vacant

My voice silent

Last night I fought for my life

She remained motionless

Yet drew closer

Reaching without hands

Last night I fought for my life

With the light on its worse

She clung to the corners

She thrives in the darkness

Tonight I will fight for my life

While my body sleeps

She will come for me

As she always has
