The Game

The Game

A Poem by Chaos Complex
"

Love and romance. Blargh.

"

That flower over your ear-

Reminds me of times...

When there was no reason,

For grinning in lies.

I know, your heart grows fond-

It's that look in your eyes.

I'll pay the fee to see,

How you'll once again change me.

Your smile is hope that simply reminds:

Not everything goes right,

But there's always a silver line.

With hands warmer than any cold hard cash.

And yet I'm still wondering,

What's the catch?

You got a way with words that captivate hearts.

And with the scene in front of me- I don't mind the bars.

Your passion overwhelms,

I'm enjoying drowning in what's felt!

Hey!

Romance is a game that I sometimes despise.

Find a strategy, to charm a prey's mind.

And yet- masochist and sadist alike-

We move our pieces to invade each others lives.

I'm talking pawns with glances and clever smiles.

Knights delivering letters wearing seduction as style.

It must be the love of the chase,

Sometimes we like being cornered.

Cause...

You got a way with words that captivate hearts.

And with the scene in front of me- I don't mind the bars.

Your passion overwhelms,

I'm enjoying drowning in what's felt!

Hey!

About
I like to express my emotions and feelings in poetry. I write a lot of rap/hip hop stuff. I'm really vulgar. Deal with it. I don't get many reviews, but thank you to those who even bother to re.. more..
