I really enjoyed reading this! I love your poetic & lyrical way of writing prose. I love the way you showed us the intricacies of this friendship thru description & dialogue. It's great the way you balanced between the idea of this close friendship being all above-board with the spouses, yet also hinting at something else, something that makes us want to continue reading (if there were other chapters, etc.) I could feel the quiet longing between the lines.
