my other world

my other world

A Poem by Nyaa

When ii was a little girl

ii thought ii was suppose to dream of butterflies

Beautiful pink dresses with the frilles on the side

An all white wedding dress

Standing next to a man in a tux

ii was never good at playing dress up

The make up burned my skin

And ii would much rather play in a pair of my dads old jeans

Pretending ii just came home from a hards day at work

Pulled a double s**t at the lumber yard

ii take my shoes off and ask Barbie whats for dinner

She makes my plate and ii ask her how her day was

This dream made more sense than my reality

Why do ii have to wear a dress

ii would much rather pull on a white tee and a pair of timb boots

Never felt like my gender got mixed

But ii never got mad when someone called me mister instead of miss

Because the people ii grew up with lived with double standards

And ii liked the boys side of it
