7 Deadly Sins Sonnets -#6 Envy

7 Deadly Sins Sonnets -#6 Envy

A Poem by Nyghtmare13
"

This is the Sixth of seven sonnets concerning the Seven Deadly Sins, as defined by the Catholic Church. They are older poems that I wrote in High School.

"

She craves anything everyone else has.

She wishes for the newest of fashions.

She acts like a completely stupid spaz,

She is consumed by her jealous passions.

She needs so much attention in her life.

She eats her heart out when they look better.

She fills her life with idiotic strife.

She always wishes that she knew better.

Great Envy’s opposite virtue is love,

To respect and care for your fellow men.

She wishes to be very far above

If fashion goes to the other women.

She will end up being green with envy.

The Sixth deadly sin, hateful is envy.

While not strictly taboo, I would personally be avoiding the duplicity in rhyming, except where something needs emphasis; as well as the excessive use of she. Also, passion was used in one of your other sonnets. And as I already suggested, check syllable counts to better form a rhythm.
