Us two

stuck between a rock and hard place here.

I'm standing here, and all I see

is this picture, of just you and me

the way we were and the way we are, 

and how our future seems so far. 

if there even is a future, with just me and you

is it possible for it to be just us two?

my heart longs for something more

and yet I cannot see past, this closed door.

just tell me what to do

is it meant to be? 

just us two?

you take my hand in yours

you hold me through lives adventures, and its bores.

you make me feel confused.

but one thing, one thing you never do,

is make me feel used.

you lift me up and make me smile

you stay up for hours, so I can just talk for a while

something that I never do.

with anyone, except for you.

 you see past my hurt

you see past my pain,

it seems to you, that all thats left, is to gain.

please, someone, just tell me what to do.

could it ever really just be us two?
