EXTREME MAKEOVER

Looking forward to a new body.....

 

Every day I'm drawing closer

To a time I long to see.

When my life on earth is over

And my spirit is set free!

 

This 'ole body's growing older...

Every day is filled with pain.

All my bones and joints are aching

As I sit to watch the rain.

 

How I long to climb these mountains

Like I did some years ago.

But my knees....they keep me humble,

As they creek and speak, ''NO, NO!''

But in the gentle, soothing quiet

As I turn to Him in prayer,

It is then I am reminded....

Life will be SO different there!

 

Just when heaven's gates are open

And I run to Him inside,

My new body will be perfect...

And I'll have no pains to hide!

 

Imperfections that once bound me

To the sadness on the earth,

Will EXTREMELY be made over

When eternity is birthed!

As I look at all of the "signs of the times" around me, I know it will not be long until the realization of this poem will become the day's truth!
