SECRET PATH

SECRET PATH

A Poem by Miss Sharon
"

A fictional love poem inspired by the photograph.

"

It seems so very long ago
Before you lay beneath the snow
There still and cold...no life within
Not long before the day would end

I 'oft recall the secret path
We called our own...where we could laugh
And selfish then forget all else
As only we could love ourselves

Your kiss so sweet...I feel it now
And ever hear your voice somehow
Which calls to me in whispered prayer
Oh come my love and take me there

I am beguiled by lover's whim
And breath of sacred seraphim
To be forever held at last
Within your arms...as in the past
~~
